Character:
White crystal grain with odorless, slight sweet. Soluble in water,  but insoluble in ordinary organic solvent such as ethanol, and faintly soluble in methanol. Applications:
Chiefly used in medicine. It has important
physiological functions to human body such as to take part
in the detoxification of liver and kidney, to protect
liver from inflammation, to stimulate the increase of
Bifidobacterium in the infant intestines, to treat
rheumatoid arthritis and gastric ulcer, to control the
growth of cell. It is as important material for the
synthesis of antibiotics and anticancer drugs, and is also
used in food, food additive and so on,is cheifly used in
iatrical medicine(it can be direct compressible). |
